Okay...it's almost real, though I think the fact that I'm moving to London isn't going to be real until I get there. Just finished the family dinner night - tripe & tirimisu...you can't get more italian or any BETTER than that!

Blogging makes me nervous - the fusing of private and public selves...but I promised Kalina I'd give it a shot! And, of course, always in the back of my mind I'm thinking - why would anyone want to know what I'm doing? It can't be all THAT interesting.

Well, it's not (interesting, that is). But this is really just a practice entry, anyway. First of all, Friday was my last day in cubicle land for what I hope to god will be the rest of my life. Of course, one must be realistic about such things. I'm sure there will be times in the future when I move to a new city, or find myself desperately broke when I have to, once again, call on those administrative powers. And since I'm pursuing a career that is, generally, less than lucrative, those moments of desperation are bound to happen. But let's hope I'll get lucky, or at least that it doesn't happen for a long, long time (though maybe that's even worse).

So, instead of sitting in my cubicle wondering why in the world the day is going by so slowly, I'm sitting on my couch avoiding the packing that I'm supposed to be doing. Well, not the packing, the sorting of my many piles of papers. (I'm actually checking my email every 10 minutes or so and trying to come up with more junk to sell on craigslist.)

That's all for now!

Kalina, this post's for you!

Smooches.

This isn't Camille. This is Kalina setting up a site for Camille. But I'm hoping one day you will walk by an internet cafe and suddenly think, boy do I want to write in a blog! And then we will read it, and be happy to have read what was going on for you that day. Especially when it is JUICY!
